Pressure is increasing for the adoption of new governance standards:

The laws are piling up: anti-bribery and corruption laws, new concepts of tax abuse, environmental obligations, duty of vigilance regarding human rights, etc.;
Clients, investors and partners express their expectations in terms of CSR, and those expectations become a condition for developing healthy and risk-free business relationships;
Competition is pushing companies to differentiate themselves in these areas: value can be created by adopting a raison d’être or the status of a “société à mission” (special-purpose company with a defined social and environmental purpose), or simply by defining their own CSR policy, tailored to their activity.
