A member of the Paris Bar since 1992, Jérôme Bersay is the founder of the firm. He is a partner in the M&A department and his practice focuses on M&A and private equity transactions and, more generally, on corporate law, with listed and unlisted companies, in a national or international context, as well on commercial litigation and arbitration.
In the area of M&A, Jérôme is involved with a wide range of projects for the acquisition of companies or assets, partnerships and joint ventures between public or private players, divestitures and assets reclassifications, restructuring, mergers, etc.
In the area of Private Equity, he assists investors and founders in all types of private equity transactions.
His in-depth knowledge of market players (industrial groups, investment funds and other investors, market authorities and institutional bodies, investment bankers, lawyers, company directors, etc.), allows for pragmatic management of client interests.
Jérôme is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Economic and Financial section) and of the University of Paris II (Master’s of Business Law, and diploma from the Business Law Institute). He is also a member of the International Bar Association.
Before founding Bersay in 1995, Jérôme Bersay he worked at Crédit Lyonnais New York as a financial analyst, then as a lawyer at Salès, Vincent & Associés and Reinhart Marville law firms.
In the 2024 edition of Best Lawyers, Jérôme was named one of the leading practitioners in the field of “Corporate Law”, “Banking and Finance”, “Litigation”, “Private Equity” and “M&A”.
